amaZiNc - A small ZiNc frontend - by Pete Bernert
=================================================

Version 1.0.1 - 07 November 2004

- Added a ZiNc output window (to show eventual ZiNc start
up error messages), and changed the icons.

Version 1.0.0 - 31 October 2004

- Created on a sunday evening, as a "proof of concept" (to
show how multiple ZiNc plugins and emu/plugin settings
  can be handled).

Features:
---------
The amaZiNc frontend supports ZiNc 1.0 (and most likely all
upcoming versions, since no games or config options are hard-
coded in this frontend).

It supports all current (and future) renderer and sound plugins,
including the ZiNc-enabled psx gpu/spu plugins (currently the
P.E.Op.S soft gpu + spu plugin, and my OGL2 one). With the native
ZiNc plugins you can enter the plugin settings as text (like in
the .cfg files), with the psx plugins the plugin config window
will get started.

Configs are stored for each game, so you can use different configs
with different games without problems (that's the major point
of this frontend).

Also available: an output window showing the ZiNc error messages
(useful to see why ZiNc fails to run... bad rom, bad config
switches, etc).

amaZiNc will work on Win9X, WinME, WinNT, Win2000 and WinXP.

Installation:
-------------
Copy the amaZinC.exe file into your ZiNc main emu directory.

The sound plugin has to be named "sound.znc" (even if you want
to use the P.E.Op.S. spu plugin).

The renderer plugins can have whatever names you want, they just
have to get placed into the ZiNc main directory.

That's it.

Well, nearly.

You MUST NOT use space characters in your ZiNc path name.
Something like "C:\Program Files\ZiNC" is a big NONO!

Usage:
------
You have to configure each game you want to use once (otherwise
you cannot start it). amaZiNc will store all settings for one game
in the ZiNc\cfg directory, and activate them each time you start
the game (by a simple double click).

Right-clicking a game entry will start the config window, for
changing main emu/plugin options and to select the renderer you want
to use.

If a game doesn't start on double-click, you have done something
wrong. Wrong option, wrong plugin, wrong rom set, whatever. You
can activate the ZinC output window in this case, to check out
the cause of the problem.
