XorEmu FAQ
========================================================

Q-01: I don't see anything or i can't hear anything after running the emulator. What can i do?
A-01: Check that you have DirectX installed.

Q-02: When i run the emulator it ends with a Message Box: "Fatal Error, Could not load the game".
A-02: Check that you have placed the ROMs UNCOMPRESSED int the folder ROMS\XORWORLD, and that the rom
names match the ones found in the readme.txt

Q-03: When the game starts it says: "MEMORY: BAD". Why?
A-03: Because on the first game, the game inits the EEPROM. That should not happen the next time
that you play the game.

Q-04: I've tried everything but the emulator doesn't work. What can i do?
A-04: I've tested the emulator *only* in 4 different machines and it's working ok here. I'm sorry if
it doesn't work on your computer, but the only thing you can do is wait until it's MAMED.

Q-05: The emulator runs slow on my machine. What can i do to make it faster?
A-05: I've tested the emulator on a Pentium 233 MMX and the speed was good. I don't know what will
happen in a slower machine. Try to close the other applications and to play in fullscreen mode
without vsync.

Q-06: What are the files the emulator creates after runing it?
A-06: 	CFG\config.ini: emulator settings
	EEPROM\xorworld.epr: game settings
	emu.log: emulator success log

Q-07: I want the source code for the emulator. Will you send it to me?
A-07: I'll make the source code available in a few days.

Q-08: I want to write a MAME driver for Xor World. Could you send me the info you've discovered
to help me to write it?
A-08: Don't bother. I've a working MAME driver for this game. It will be available with the emulator
source code soon.

Q-09: How can it be that I have never heard about this game if I'm a hardcore gamer?
A-09: Xor World is a prototype. I think there are less than 5 PCBs of this game.

Q-10: I've read in the version history that the first version was made on 16/11/2001. How can it
be that the emulator hasn't surfaced until now?
A-10: Yeah, that's right. The story you're asking is a bit large...

Q-11: You were always making MAME drivers. So why an emulator now?
A-11: As answer 10 says, it's a long story...

Q-12: Have you worked in other emulation projects?
A-12: Yep. I helped Jose Tejada to create Escuela de Combate (Combat School emulator).
Also, I'm a MAME developer and I've worked on the following drivers:
	* Aliens
	* Alligator Hunt
	* Ajax/Typhoon
	* Bang!

	* Sound chip Philips SAA1099 (used in Xor World and in SAM Coupe)

Q-13: How can I get in touch with you (of course NOT for ROM requests)?.
A-13: You can get my email address in the emulator source code or in the MAME source code.

Q-14: Do you have any more emulation related plans for the future?
A-14: No. Probably this will be my last contribution, but i don't discard working on another
driver from time to time.

Q-15: I've read all the manual. Is there any prize?
A-15: No, but i'm glad to hear that ;-)
