Notes on Using Kymaera in DOS:

This Kymaera distribution for DOS is not stand-alone, you need the current Windows
version of Kymaera as well for configuration.

Setup:

Currently, the DOS version of Kymaera cannot be setup in DOS.
What I do, is run Win98, and use the ky_cfg configuration application to setup
Kymaera, Then I reboot Win98 into DOS mode, and run the ky_dos.exe app
A DOS version of ky_cfg will be available soon. After you have properly configured
Kymaera with the emulators of your choice, copy the entire Kymaera directory over to your
DOS drive.

Dos uses filename that can be up to 8 characters for the name and 3
characters for the extension. This is known as DOS 8.3 format.
Dos cannot use any long filenames, so if there are any long filenames
specified in Kymaera for DOS, it WILL crash the program.

Also, there cannot be any spaces in the filenames
To check to see if kymaera will run, Open up your .kfg and .emu
files in a text editor, and check to see if any filenames are more than
8 characters long, or have any spaces.

Arcade Monitor Setup:

The DOS version of Kymaera also supports Arcade resolutions through many standard
video cards. To use arcade resolutions, you can use the Ky_cfg application to change
the "Arcade Video Modes" checkbox to true, or you can manually open up and edit the field
in the kymaera.kfg file in your kymaera\config directory.
Kymaera uses the same source code from the DOS version of MAME to set the arcade modes, so any
modes supported through DMAME should be supported in Kymaera. Here is a brief list of modes to
try:

240, 256
