This file contains information about the CP-16C simulation that I think is
important. General information about installation, usage, bug reporting,
copyright and contacting me can be found in README.txt. I encourage you to
read that file before you install and use the simulation.

POCKET PC LANDSCAPE MODE

Release 0.300 introduces a fully-functional landscape mode. When in this mode
the simulation will take over the whole display (assuming you have a 240x320
Pocket PC). Because it occupies the whole screen, you lose the command and
menu bars (and the SIP). To "suspend" the calculator and return to your Today
screen, tap your stylus on the little button in the corner of the screen (you
can drag the button to whichever corner suits you). The button is only
available while the simulator is in LANDSCAPE mode. To bring the calculator
back, use your task manager (if you have one) or tap on the icon you used to
launch the simulator.

FILE NAME CHANGE

If you are upgrading from a release with a version number less than 0.218
you will need to do some house keeping. This information does *not* apply
if you are installing the simulator for the first time.

Functions that were added in release 0.218 required some minor changes to
the data file naming scheme. To make the files created by a previous
release accessible to the new executable you will need to complete these
trivial steps before you start the simulator.

If you DO NOT want the programs, registers and machine state from the earlier
version, delete the following files:

	uiprefs.cp16
	user-pgm.cp16
	user-reg.cp16

If you WISH TO KEEP the programs, registers and machine state from the earlier
version, rename the following files:

	uiprefs.cp16 to cp16uiprefs
	user-pgm.cp16 to user.cp16-pgm
	user-reg.cp16 to user.cp16-reg

Where are the files stored?

On the desktop platform: in the directory (folder) where you installed the
simulator.

On the Pocket PC platform: in the device's root directory. When your device is
docked to a desktop system, the root directory can be accessed as:

	\Mobile Device\My Pocket PC

using Windows Explorer.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------
POCKET PC FILE LOCATION CHANGE

Release 0.218 changes the location of the simulator's control files. If you
elected to keep the control files (see FILE NAME CHANGE above) you will need
to move them to their new location.

Move the following files with your desktop Windows Explorer:

	cp16cm
	cp16uiprefs
	user.cp16-pgm
	user.cp16-reg

from \Mobile Device\My Pocket PC to the folder in which you have installed the
executable. If you installed it on your Start Menu, now might be a good time
to follow the recommendations in the README file and to install this and
subsequent releases in a separate folder.
