SEGA SPACE ATTACK (Sega/Gremlin, 1980)

Space Attack runs on a two-board set, consisting of a main board and a
sound board. Power requirements are +-5V, as well as +-12V, the -12V
being used for the sound board.

The main board is the "C.V. Logic Board" ("830-0001" in marker on
the parts side, "PCB 170-0150A" silkscreened on the solder side).
This board contains the custom 315-0042 part.

ROM (and PROM) locations and functions appear to be interchangeable
between boards of this family, and at least one other game (Invinco)
runs on this platform.

The board appears to be an earlier variant of the "Extended ROM Video Logic"
board (800-0032, no custom parts) and the Dual Game VIC board (800-0058,
with 315-0042 replacing several TTL chips from 800-0032). Invinco, also
found on platform, was also released on the newer platform with a second
game in the ROM set, which indicates that it may be possible to port any
CV Logic Board game to the newer platform with a minimum of effort.

It appears as though this board may be strappable for 2708s, 2516s, 2716s,
2532s, or 2732s. The ROMs in this archive were read from a set of 2708s.
The board's address decoding is convenient in that ROMs are mapped
sequentially by part number into memory, making it easy to concatenate
the 2708-based dumps into ROMs for whatever strapping your board happens
to use.

I've never seen the sound board for any games based on this platform,
and thus have no sound board information.
