Track & Field by Konami (GX361)

WARNING: Taken from a faulty board set (wrong characters on background)

All devices are 2764

The two files with Cx_xxx.BIN as their format are from the sound board.
The A03_K03.BIN file isn't a typo.

Roms for Hyper Olympic

The following are all generic 2764 s are where taken from a working
Hyper Olympic Boardset. Not only that but I have tried them with
The JUNO FIRST EMULATOR (instead of TRACK AND FIELD) and they work
(well as much as TnF did!).

Hyper Olympic is the EUROPEAN version of TRACK and FIELD and is
not a BOOTLEG version! (as some people had previously suggested).

The files contained in this archive were dumped from an uncommon board set.
Usually, this game is on a board set named "GX-361". This one has nothing
same, except some EPROMs. This is why you will find at the end of this
document a comparison of the ROMs of my board set and those of the original
board set. Note that my board set may not be an original (which remains to be
confirmed). For now, I consider this ROM set as a bootleg one, since although
the original "(C) 1983 KONAMI" message still appears in the game, the sound
hardware is totally different. Rather than using the original audio CPU ROM
and speech ROM, the sounds are recorded as ADPCM samples in four 2764 EPROMs.
Note that the only difference I noticed in the game is the word "HEIGHT",
which has replaced the original "HIGHT" which may be a typo...

Concerning the EPROM labels, there is nothing written except a number.
There are two boards: a small one mounted on a large one.
All the EPROMs are 2764 type. The names given to their images contain two
references. The first one is the reference printed under their socket on the
PCB, and the second one is the number written on their label.

The "small" board:

This board contains several noticable chips: two 2114 RAMs, a Z80A-CPU-D,
a 6802 and a 6821. The EPROMs of this board have a yellow label.
The EPROM "2764.5" is near the Z80, the others are near the 6802/6821.
There's also a sound chip (mostly an audio amplifier: HA1366W), and two
DIP-Switchs for the configuration of the game.

The "big" board:

This board has a 6809EP CPU, two 6116 RAM chips and the other TTLs.
The labels of the EPROMs are green.

EPROM 2764.5 FROM THE SMALL BOARD HAS NOT BEEN DUMPED.
THIS WILL BE DONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

    ?? 2764.3
    ?? 2764.4

Note concerning the last four EPROMs: these ones contain ADPCM samples that
can be easily played using GoldWave. Simply open the ROMs in ADPCM mode, at
a sampling rate of 5500Hz. Then, set the playing speed to 0.80 and listen !

Samples I recognized in these ROMs:

2764.1 'Get set' 'Ready' 'Go' 'Zero' 'One'
2764.2 'Two' - 'Nine' (numbers from 2 to 9)
2764.3 'Ten' 'Eleven' 'Twelve' 'Sixteen' + others I did not understand
2764.4 'Point' + others I did not understand
