| Information |
Setting any options here have a
global effect, ie. Any changes are applied to
every emulator. |
To change the priority
class that
StarLaunch specifies when it calls
CreateProcess(), select whatever you want from
the combobox. You will have to experiment to see
if there is any gain in performance from changing
this, i haven't been able to see any effect
myself, but it's there if you want to change it. |
| Attempt
to set high priority thread |
Tells StarLaunch to increase the
priority of the dos session's Win32 counterpart's
thread |
This may or may not have an effect
on the emulators performance. |
| Attempt
to reset priority class |
Tells StarLaunch that it should set
the class priority of the emulator again after
the process has been started. |
I noticed with the Process Viewer
that the class priority of the dos session didn't
change at all when you called CreateProcess(), it
seems to ignore it! So i incorperated this
feature, which does actually set the class's
priority. |
| Force
dos emus to exclusive mode |
Should boost emulator performance. |
A Feature which will make
StarLaunch write some data to your apps.inf file,
and tell Windows to start the emulator in
exclusive mode. This disables multitasking, and
should give a speedup to your emulators. |
| Priority |
Start up dos apps with more cpu
cycles. |
Get performance boosts in
emulators! |
