14th January, 2021 - Release 5.02 (Standard 5, more accuracy)
Completely rewritten routines that calculate the maximum number of
parachuters on screen simultaneously, and the game speed, thanks to the
invaluable input and help from programmer Koby Goldberg. The game is now
much more accurate than every previous version and it is extremely close
to the original in terms of game difficulty.

24th December, 2020 - Release 5.01 (Standard 5, bug-fix)
Fixed a bug that caused the parachuter hanging from the palm tree to
disappear in certain circumstances; minor improvements to the parachuter
generation routine for Game B. Thanks to D. Yen for the bug report.

4th December, 2017 - Release 5.00 (Standard 5, complete rewrite)
Added a new option to the on-screen game menu, to enable the user to change
from fullscreen to windowed (shaped) mode on the fly; minor tweakings.

16th October, 2017 - Release 5.00 * PUBLIC BETA *
Officially released through an "open beta testing" program.

22nd June, 2017 - Release 5.00 * PRIVATE BETA *
Implemented new graphics system based on "skins" for both the game and the
instructions manual; all of the skin options can be changed via the included
"config.ini" file; the visualization mode can now be changed to "fullscreen";
added a new key configurator panel (settings are saved into the system
registry); all game buttons can now be operated via keyboard, mouse and touch
screen; new splash screen; new "about" screen; minor fixes and optimizations to
the source code; added support for .png images; added on-screen menu to the
"fullscreen" mode; added option to the menu to allow the editing of the
configuration file.

30th May, 2016 - Release S4/1.08 (Standard 4, minor bug-fix)
Fixed a bug that caused the "misses" to continuously reset at 200 and 500

Added larger instructions manual browser; several optimizations to the source
code; fixed a few bugs in the "game over" routines; added a brand new splash
screen, allowing to hide/display it at the next startup.

Minor fixes and optimizations to source code; normalized sound samples volume
to a higher level; added the new "About" screen; fixed a few bugs; made
handheld game graphics more realistic (buttons).

Fixed a few bugs in the score and clock rendering routines; fixed a bug that
prevented "readme" and "whatsnew" files to be opened correctly in Windows 7;
made background "shaped"; compiled with Delphi 7 for more stability; partially
rewritten source code, making it more readable; added missing pages to
instructions manual browser; changed application name into Parachut.

15th September, 2008 - Release S4/1.03 (Standard 4, graphics improvement)
Added "double buffering" to form rendering, in order to remove graphics
flickering.

31st December, 2007 - Release S4/1.02 (Standard 4, graphics improvement +
hiscore save fix)
Fixed a bug in the routine that saves hiscores to Windows registry; added
shadows to sprites, to give a more realistic look; replaced a couple of wrong
sprites.

12th November, 2007 - Release S4/1.01 (Standard 4, MAME cabinets compatible)
Added new options to completely operate the simulator through keyboard, as
requested by MAME cabinets users.
