EmuCon
------

EmuCon is a frontend for console, computer and handheld emulators.
It is compatible with all versions of Windows (Windows XP and newer). Similar to Emu Loader,
this project started as a hobby and an easy way for me to play SuperNES games with my computer.

Features
--------

- Support several console, computer and handheld systems. See "systems_emulators.htm" for more details

- Support any file format, depending only on the emulator. EmuCon does not validate games files,
this is done by the emulators... and by you

- Unicode game filenames support

- Any emulator that load games from the command line can be used

- Preview snapshots using layouts, up to 3 images at the same time (zipped or unzipped):
game snapshots, title snapshots, box arts (.png. .jpg)

- Easy access with popup menus and toolbar buttons

- You can use 4 emulators on each system

- Support four different media types: cartridges, disc images, floppy disks, cassette tapes

- Two parameters for each media type (using same emulator filename). The 2nd parameter is optional and it's
implemented for special cases, mostly for Atari 800 and Commodore Amiga emulators, but it can be used on any system

- Mount/unmount disc images on a virtual drive (Daemon Tools, SlySoft Virtual CloneDrive, Alcohol 120% and others)

- Long folder names friendly, ANSI format only (not all emulators are compatible with long names)

- Support for games compressed with Zip and 7-Zip (external 7z.dll file required for 7-Zip)

- Basic detection of bad .zip files (ZipForge library)

- Settings are stored in .ini files. Windows registry is never used!

- played games info (last played, times played, total playtime)

- quick access of the last 25 games you played

- Add new games to an existing list. Useful if you need to add more games to a list that are located on various CDs/DVDs
  or external HDDs

- Create favorite games lists. Multiple favorites profiles supported

- Hide games you don't want in the list with the hidden games feature

- Video preview playback. Watch a video sample of your games when browsing the games list
  - requires an external media player, not integrated in EmuCon
  - any video and audio format can be used, limited only by your system
  - any media player can be used as long as it can load files from the command line
  - support for command line switches so you can have more control over the media player
