List of skins for the selected Keypad (Touchpad or Clickpad). A skins Previewer tool (F3) helps browsing the installed skins for an easier selection.

5. QuickKeys (F4)

Assign PC-keyboard keys to Calculator keypad keys.






 

5.1 QuickKeys Assign

 To make an assignment first select a FreeKey then double-click on an unchecked CalcKey.






 5.2 QuickKeys UnAssign

 To UnAssign double-click on a checked CalcKey.



   

5.3 QuickKeys Map

Shows the current assignment PC-keyboard to calc keys. FreeKeys depend on the national keyboard layout (flag).

6. Tools Menu

A Debug Console and an External Calculator Display with zoom, AnimGIF maker and player, and AVI Capture tool.

7. Console (F10)

8. Extra Display (F11)

An Auxiliar Display with Zoom. For some zoom factors (eg, x3) the image does look sharp, use Halftone to smooth it. Joypad is an extra facility aimed at presentations. Screenshot with zoom.

 

9. Animated GIF (F5)

This tool enables you to make an animated GIF (AGIF) out of a sequence of captures frames. The produced AGIF can be previewed using the internal AGIF Player.

9.1 AGIF Recorder

Selecting  'Record GIF Frames' places the Screenshots made by F12 in a separate GIF-Frames folder (ShotsGIF) instead of placing them on the Clipboard.  The captured GIF frames can be previewed as shown below.

 9.2 AGIF Player

 A simple AnimGIF player:  handy for previewing the recorded AGIF.

10. AVI Capture Tool (F6)

A simple tool to make short video clips :  




 

 Steps to make a short video clip are : 

 1. Define the recording  options:

a. The AVI output file path;
b. The desired Frame rate (fps) ;
c. The Maximum Recording Time (secs);
d. Select a Video compressor (optional) .
e. Define an Image clip area (optional).

 2. Start and Stop the capture (or wait for the MRT time-out).

 

 
 

11. Usb Explorer (Alt+E)

Transfer files by drag and drop between the PC and the calculator.  On the Host side, image files can be previewed: a) For a bottom-pane with a thumbnail view, check the camera icon ; b) On the Host ListCtrl, right-click on a picture file name to get its the calc-resized (320x240) preview. The UsbExplorer form switches its layout in synch with the skin being used (either vertical or horizontal).

Usb Explorer Tips:
1. Drag from Windows Explorer: To quickly send the (multiple) .tns files to the calculator, drag them directly from any explorer folder (eg. the Desktop) and drop them over the Nspire ListCtrl .
2. Host Side Navigation:  In the Host Treeview , double-click on a folder to set it as the top directory; Use the Host tool button 'Previous Dir' to navigate to the parent directory.
