Frequently Unanswered Questions
-------------------------------

Q: What the fuck is this?
A: An emulator for the QSound hardware found in CPS1/CPS2 arcade boards.

Q: What ROM sets are supported?
A: Super Street Fighter 2 Jap (ssf2j)
Super Street Fighter 2X Jap (sfxj)
   Street Fighter Alpha (sfa)
   Street Fighter Zero Jap (sfzj)
Street Fighter Zero 2 Jap (sfz2j)
   D&D Tower of Doom (dadtod)
   Vampire Jap (vmj)
   Vampire Hunter Jap (vhj)
   Vampire Savior Jap (vm3j)
   Vampire Savior US (vsavior)
X-Men: Children of the Atom (xmencota)
   Marvel Super Heroes (msh)
   Marvel VS Capcom (mvscap)
   Punisher (punish)
   Warriors of Fate (wof)
   Slammasters (slammast)
   Muscle Bomber Duo (mbomber)
   Cadillacs and Dinosaurs (dino)

It could probably emulate any other CPS2 game's QSound with some ROM renaming.
(Words in sample roms must be in intel-order)

Q: What does it require?
A: Fast Pentium, DirectX 5.0, and QSound ROMs.
None of these things will I provide. Don't ask.

Q: Why doesn't it sound exactly like the arcade?
A: The QSound hardware is completely undocumented.
A recorded sound effect at each step from far stereo left (00)
to far stereo right (20) would help to correct the stereo emulation.

Q: Why aren't the CPS2 games themselves emulable (yet)?
A: The main CPU roms for CPS2 games are encrypted.

Q: Is it possible to decrypt the 68K roms used in CPS2 games?
A: Maybe. Encrypted ROMs from the CPS2 version of Rockman The Power Battle would
help a great deal since they are probably similar to the ROMs used in the
CPS1 version. And don't be so gullible.
