– Sound quality is now as good as it gets! I’ve implemented a buffered T\u00e9l\u00e9charger NeoPOP v0.71\/w1.06b (107 Ko)<\/a><\/p>\n
\noutput after seeing how it was supposed to be done by Pete Bernert and the
\nPeopsSpu team. This approach has made a tremendous improvement.
\n– Sample playing is still missing, so you’ll have to wait for the ‘Sega’
\nat the start of \u00ab\u00a0Sonic Pocket Adventure\u00a0\u00bb and the intro to \u00ab\u00a0Faseli!\u00a0\u00bb too.
\n– No core fixes today. Same old bugs!
\n– Joystick button names are now used instead of numbers in the config
\ndialog box, this should be more user friendly (and was easier for me than
\nhaving to re-write the dialog to support any alternative methods). Thanks
\nto Nick K for pointing out that numbers weren’t actually helpful!
\n– Added a call to yield the CPU when paused, this will hopefully free up
\nwasted system resources. Thanks to JAZ for the suggestion. I’ve still to
\nadd an auto pause option when the emulator looses focus…
\n– There are still some sound glitches. I have noticed that sometimes the
\nsound begins to break up. This can be fixed by moving the window around
\nto reinitialise the buffer. Not ideal, but I’ve not been able to detect
\nwhere the problem is being generated. I suspect that the breakups are
\ncaused by my slow program causing gaps…
\n– Optimised both builds by 10%, I still need to do more to match the
\nperformance of MGPocket and fix the remaining sound problems.<\/em><\/p>\n
