Cet \u00e9mulateur est \u00e9galement le plus complet des outils de d\u00e9veloppements X68000 existant aujourd’hui. Il s’agit d’un fork de l’\u00e9mulateur XM6 v2.05 de PI avec une pl\u00e9thore de nouvelles fonctionnalit\u00e9s. Les changements sont pour la plupart li\u00e9s \u00e0 l’interface utilisateur et un accent a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis sur le d\u00e9veloppement et les fonctions de d\u00e9bogage plut\u00f4t que sur l’exactitude de l’\u00e9mulation, cependant il y a suffisamment d’am\u00e9liorations pour qu’il soit recommand\u00e9 d’utiliser cette version plut\u00f4t que XM6 v2.06 finale.

\nLes changements:
\n 
\n– Scaling for drive numbers (in the status bar panes) was improved but
\nonly for newer systems, which are expected to have the necessary font.
\n– Made some minor improvements to several of the processor-related subwindows.
\nFor example, in the \u00ab\u00a0Modify\u00a0\u00bb submenu, you can now type ‘0’ instead of \u00ab\u00a0D0\u00a0\u00bb.
\n 
\n– When editing multi-word instructions by manually entering hexadecimal values,
\nthe remaining words are no longer NOP-padded. For example, if you were to
\nchange a conditional branch with a word-sized displacement value into an
\nunconditional branch (by changing the first word to 6000), the displacement
\nwill now remain as-is.
\n– There is now a memory hashing function integrated into memory windows.
\nIt calculates a standard CRC-32. The starting address is preloaded from
\nthe current memory window location but it can be changed. Next you specify
\nthe (exclusive) ending address or the size in bytes. The result is displayed
\non the status bar and also copied to the clipboard. As an example, one could
\nuse this feature to check if a block of memory has changed over time. In order
\nto facilitate such usage, the CRC is also written to the log.<\/p>\n

 
\nBug fixes:
\n– Several of the most recent releases had some negative performance impacts.
\n– Fixed an unlikely but easily reproducible crash.
\n– Fixed what I believe is a minor bug in the cycle counting bookkeeping.
\n– This change is unlikely to have a noticeable effect.
\n– Fixed a rare* crash when loading state.
\n* The bug had been around since the original XM6 without anyone reporting it.
\n Specific circumstances were required in order to trigger it, and even then
\n it wasn’t guaranteed to happen. But it was easy to duplicate if you knew how.
\n– Fixed a delightful state-loading bug that had no effect on casual users.
\n– A rarely* used instruction was not being emulated. (* We know this empirically.)
\n– The disassembler was decoding certain invalid instructions inconsistently.<\/em><\/p>\n
