{"id":16389,"date":"2008-11-17T13:26:20","date_gmt":"2008-11-17T13:26:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/127.0.0.1\/ef\/?p=16389"},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.emu-france.com\/?p=16389","title":{"rendered":"[Console] Gens\/GS v2.15.5 \/ M5.2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gens\/GS est une version de Gens, \u00e9mulateur Megadrive, am\u00e9lior\u00e9e par GerbilSoft (David korth).<br \/>\nLe but est de nettoyer le code source et d&rsquo;ajouter de nouvelles fonctions prises sur les diff\u00e9rents d\u00e9riv\u00e9s de Gens. <\/p>\n<p>Voici les nouveaut\u00e9s depuis la 5.1:<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>5.3<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Milestone 5.3 fixes the following bugs:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; PIC compilation was broken due to the new CPU Flags code.<br \/>\n&#8211; nasm&rsquo;s -O3 optimization doesn&rsquo;t work properly on the Gens code with older<br \/>\n  versions of nasm. Gens now uses the -O1 optimization instead.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Milestone 5.3 has the following miscellaneous changes:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; [GTK+] Removed some unnecessary GDK includes.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>5.2<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Milestone 5.2 introduces the following new features:<\/span> <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Updates to the most-used renderers:<\/p>\n<p>  &#8211; The C++ 1x, 2x, and 2x scanline renderers are now much faster.<\/p>\n<p>  &#8211; The asm and mmx 1x and 2x renderers have been updated to support<br \/>\n    32-bit color.<\/p>\n<p>  &#8211; The scanline and interpolated scanline asm renderers now correctly<br \/>\n    black out empty lines, which fixes a \u00ab\u00a0leftover garbage\u00a0\u00bb problem<br \/>\n    caused by the new text drawing function.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; [Linux] The OpenGL renderer now supports border color emulation.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The \u00ab\u00a0Stretch\u00a0\u00bb option now allows you to set Horizontal Stretch and<br \/>\n  Vertical Stretch independently.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; New \u00ab\u00a0General Options\u00a0\u00bb window layout. The new layout takes up a lot less<br \/>\n  space than the old layout, and allows for more options.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The \u00ab\u00a0General Options\u00a0\u00bb window now allows you to enable or disable<br \/>\n  border color emulation and the pause tint.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; [GTK+] The design of the \u00ab\u00a0Controller Configuration\u00a0\u00bb window has been<br \/>\n  improved.<br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><br \/>\nMilestone 5.2 has the following miscellaneous changes:<\/span> <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The \u00ab\u00a0BIOS\/Misc Files\u00a0\u00bb entries for \u00ab\u00a0GCOffline\u00a0\u00bb and \u00ab\u00a0Gens Manual\u00a0\u00bb have been<br \/>\n  removed. There are no functions in Gens\/GS that make use of these, and both<br \/>\n  documents haven&rsquo;t been updated in several years.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The 16 kHz, 32 kHz, and 48 kHz sound rates have been removed. They never<br \/>\n  worked properly and ended up causing lag.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; The built-in debugger now sleeps for 100 ms between frames. Previously, it<br \/>\n  would attempt to redraw frames as fast as possible, which led to high CPU<br \/>\n  usage if VSync wasn&rsquo;t turned on.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; [Win32] hq2x is broken, so it has been disabled for now.\t<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Milestone 5.2 fixes the following bugs:<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Fixed compilation with &#8211;disable-cdrom.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Fixed some PWM regressions introduced in m5.1.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; [Win32] Savestates were sometimes not saved to the correct directory.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Milestone 5.2 has the following low-level code changes:<\/span> <\/p>\n<p>&#8211; VDraw_DDraw: CORRECT_256_ASPECT_RATIO and ALT_X_RATIO_RES have been removed.<br \/>\n  These were originally used in Gens Rerecording to specify if the horizontal<br \/>\n  resolution should always be stretched, but is no longer necessary due to the<br \/>\n  improved \u00ab\u00a0Stretch\u00a0\u00bb mode options.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; nasm now generates debugging symbols for all asm code.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Many functions and variables that don&rsquo;t need global visibility have been<br \/>\n  marked as static.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; New CPU flag system to determine all available instruction sets instead of<br \/>\n  just MMX. This will allow for more optimizations later on.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Fixed an issue where a segment override prefix was specified in Starscream,<br \/>\n  which broke Valgrind.
