Il s’agit d’un fork de DOSBox des plus int\u00e9ressant, destin\u00e9 \u00e0 Windows Linux et MacOS et cr\u00e9\u00e9 par Jon Campbell<\/a>. Il poss\u00e8de une compatibilit\u00e9 excellente et met l’accent sur la pr\u00e9cision d’\u00e9mulation notamment en ce qui concerne l’\u00e9mulation de Windows 3.x \u00e0 ME. En outre il ajoute des am\u00e9liorations en provenance d’autres builds comme DOSBox ECE<\/a> avec l’\u00e9mulation de la 3DFX en interne.<\/p>\n

\nLes am\u00e9liorations sont les suivantes:

New MinGW-based builds are available for Windows XP systems and lower end CPUs.<\/strong>
\n – Improvements to build process
\n – Source tree no longer provides configure script, you’ll need to use autogen.sh to build
\n – Linux RPM packages now include FREECG98.BMP, changelog, and reference conf in \/usr\/share\/dosbox-x. If FREECG98.BMP is not available in the current directory, it will look for it in \/usr\/share\/dosbox-x.
\n – Mac OS X builds now include FREECG98.BMP in the app bundle, and will use that if one is not provided
\n – Mac OS X builds will now default to using your home directory as the current working directory if run from the Finder
\n – BOOT now accepts a –debug switch that causes DOSBox-X to break into
\n the debugger when the boot sector begins to execute.
\n – BOOT now accepts a –force switch to override the PC-98 lockout,
\n if the user wants to better understand why I locked it out in PC-98 mode.
\n – PC-98 support now supports reading font from FONT.ROM, if available.
\n – Code, data, and output now respond to arrow, page up\/down and
\n home\/end keys as a user would normally expect.
\n – Arrow and page up\/down keyboard input now goes to active window
\n instead of mapping directly to any specific window.
\n – Debugger interface now has the concept of an \u00ab\u00a0active\u00a0\u00bb window, and
\n the title bar of each window hilights if it is active.
\n – Debugger interface now hides the \u00ab\u00a0variables\u00a0\u00bb window by default.
\n – Fixed window \u00ab\u00a0titles\u00a0\u00bb in debugger interface to fill the terminal
\n line they’re on and use ncurses horizontal line character which
\n on modern systems looks better than hyphens.
\n – Removed one line padding around data window in debugger interface.
\n – Debugger interface redesigned to permit more flexible layout
\n – Debugger interface no longer crashes when terminal window is sized
\n down too small (when there is no room for the output window)
\n EMM386 (ems) emulation fixed to always turn on the A20 gate when
\n the DOS application requests to map pages into the EMS page frame.
\n – This fixes crashes with Creative’s Sound Blaster 16 installer when
\n run with the A20 gate turned off.<\/em><\/p>\n
