Cet \u00e9mulateur est \u00e9galement le plus complet des outils de d\u00e9veloppements X68000 existant aujourd’hui. Il s’agit d’un fork de l’\u00e9mulateur XM6 v2.05 de PI avec une pl\u00e9thore de nouvelles fonctionnalit\u00e9s. Les changements sont pour la plupart li\u00e9s \u00e0 l’interface utilisateur et un accent a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis sur le d\u00e9veloppement et les fonctions de d\u00e9bogage plut\u00f4t que sur l’exactitude de l’\u00e9mulation, cependant il y a suffisamment d’am\u00e9liorations pour qu’il soit recommand\u00e9 d’utiliser cette version plut\u00f4t que XM6 v2.06 finale.

\nLes changements:
\n 
\n– The configuration file (.ini) is now saved in UTF-8 format, which reduces
\nthe size in typical cases. The non-Unicode edition still uses the local
\ncode page, although it can now read UTF-8 configuration files.
\n– If the audio buffer starts getting overrun (due to fast-forwarding) the output
\nvolume will be reduced. Note that it will take a fraction of a second for the
\nbuffer to overflow when fast-forwarding begins. Until then, the audio data is
\nstill good and will be played at normal volume. This might make it seem like
\nthe audio latency is longer than it really is, or that fast-forwarding isn’t
\nresponding right away, but it’s just a side effect, and it makes brief periods
\nof fast-forwarding less jarring. When coming out of fast-forward, all the bad
\ndata is still flushed from the audio buffer immediately, as usual.
\n– Unformatted disk placeholders (I hesitate to call them \u00ab\u00a0images\u00a0\u00bb) are now
\nofficially supported. Placeholders are empty files (size of 0) with the
\nextension \u00ab\u00a0.unf\u00a0\u00bb and they represent disks with no low-level formatting
\nwhatsoever. They can even be created through the New Floppy Disk dialog.
\n– Such files might seem useless, but I use them frequently for testing how
\nuser-disk creation modes behave. The results of formatting are captured
\nin a delta file (documented elsewhere), and any kind of exotic formatting
\ncan be represented therein, even low-density (2DD) formats.
\n– As an expert-level feature, placeholder files are not given all the rights
\nand privileges of true images.<\/p>\n

 
\nBug fixes:
\n– Toggling the temporary-disable flag for Automatic Controller Mode could cause
\nunexpected results in rare situations. Several other issues were fixed as well.
\n– Fixed an embarrassingly stupid crash of my own making.<\/em><\/p>\n
