La page Mame Targets as été mise à jours:
Main page:
Added « Partial update » line, updated copyright, removed dead link to former Shopping List page.
Most Wanted page:
Added « PCB to be ordered soon? » for the Alpha Denshi version of « Kyros. »
Removed all but three of the American Laser games — The Dragon’s Lair Project had dumps of most of them.
Noted « PCB to be ordered soon? » for Banpresto’s « Dragon Ball Z. »
Data East
Added « Mad Lander » (’80) dedicated version of « Manhattan » (’82), and cassette version of « Super Doubles Tennis » (’83), assuming they exist.
Based on new transliteration, changed « Ninjaya » to « Ninja » in « Sengoku Ninja Tai. »
Removed Data East’s « Street Slam » — title is DIP switch change for « Street Hoop. »
Added Leland’s « Dragon’s Lair II » US version 3.16, assuming it existed.
Removed Midcoin’s « Wink » — dumped.
Added Mitchell’s « Lady killer 2 » (’96) because it’s probably on late Data East hardware and we’re trying to round up all of the games on that hardware.
Added Noma’s « Tri-Pool » (’81) — we got a dump but one ROM turned out to be irretrievably bad.
Sega
Removed « Champion Boxing » — dumped (release year is ’84, BTW).
Removed « Time Traveller » — The Dragon’s Lair Project had a dump.
Removed « Ribbit » — dumped and in MAME.
Removed Skinkai’s « Driving Force » kit for « Pac-Man » hardware — dumped.
Corrected year of Stern’s « Mazer Blazer » to ’83.
Added the three known games by Turtle Co.
Added « Pachi Fever » by an unknown Japanese manufacturer.
Protos page:
Removed the dollar signs and the note about NeoGeoFreak; it’s now clear that they did not have authorization to sell the prototype games they were offering.
Added Atari’s « Race Drivin’ Panorama » (’91?).
Added the arcade version of id Software’s « Doom II » (’97?), assuming it was real.
Added the two known proto games by KMD.
Kyle Hodgetts
Added « Kayak » (’85) and an unknown proto (’87) co-created with Tony Hana.
Added « Virtual Combat » for VR8 (’92) — we got a dump, but the ROMs on the boardset’s top board are missing.
Added Seta/Romstar « Pro Championship Bowling » (’91?).
Added SNK’s « Kizuna Encounter Special Version » (NeoGeo, ’96).
Added Tecmo’s « Back Fire » (’87).
Bad/Missing page:
Removed PROMs for « Lord of King, » « Takeda Shingen, » and « Hachoo. »
Noted Toaplan PCB acquisitions.
American Laser page:
Added names of newly uploaded romsets.
Links & Acknowledgments page:
A couple of additions, plus fixed the link to Bobby Tribble’s site (the old URL had expired and been redirected to a pr0n site).
FYI, other recent uploads:
All laserdisc-game romsets from The Dragon’s Lair Project that we didn’t already have
« Blood Warrior » (Kaneko, ’94)
« Killer Instinct » version 1.13 (Rare, ’94)
Partial dump of « Raiden Fighters 2 Jet » (Seibu), doesn’t include surface-mounted ROMs
« Kusa Yakyuu » a.k.a. « Sandlot Baseball » (Taito, ’85) — unlike other Taito games of the period, it doesn’t have MCU protection
« Danchi de Hanafuda » (ST-V, Atron for Tecmo, ’99)
« Mausuke no Ojama the World » (ST-V, Data East, ’95)
« Ski Max » (Kyle Hodgetts, ’96)
Partial dump of « Tri-Pool » (Coastal Games/Noma, ’81) — TP0 graphics ROM is corrupt on only known board; different version of the Hara Industries/Gametecniks game?
Partial dumps of « Sega Touring Car Championship » — ROMs from music daughterboard not dumped yet
« Wink » (Midcoin, ’85) — has epoxy-block protection, though
« Musoubana » (Yubis / Nichibutsu, ’95)
Complete set for « Gunblade » (Sega)
Partial dump of « Cherry Chance » (Seta) — PROMs not dumped yet; slot machine, won’t be added to MAME anyway
« Wild Arrow » (Meyco, ’81) — probably missing sound board, but this needs to be confirmed
« Triv Quiz » (Status, ’84) — bezel also scanned and uploaded
