Regarding the Genesis link cable below, it doesn’t seem to work on any of the Genesis systems (1,2,3) unless a copier is plugged in to the cartridge port. I don’t know why this is, but it’s extremely unfortunate as I was hoping to put together a package to do program development using only the Comms Link and a modified Genesis cartridge so you wouldn’t need a copier in the first place. Also, this would have allowed testing of special cartridge hardware (e.g. Virtua Racing) through use of a modified Game Genie, with test programs being uploaded through the joystick port.
