Originally published by Psygnosis in 1989-1990 Shadow of the Beast was a side scrolling platformer and featured not just revolutionary graphics but an atmospheric score by David Whittaker. So now you too can play the latest multi platform release and see why this was one of the greats!
SOTB 1 – the game is fully beatable, but requires some modern polish in the interface department, so I’d say it’s 97% complete.
SOTB 2 – 15% Can run around Karamoon. There are some generic enemies and some unfinished puzzle elements, but not much else.
SOTB 3 – 65% Level 1 and 2 are in, as well as the tilemap and parallax of Level 3.
– Changelog : Updated the build. All improvements are to the engine, no game progress. * Removed shaders, replacing them with software filters. The game can now run on much older machines with rudimentary shader support or even no shader support at all. * Optimized video settings. At x1 window even in full screen the game will run full speed on any PC from the past 10 years. * Android and Ouya now have separate builds. In my experience Ouya packages don’t play nice with stock Android devices. – See more at: http://www.indieretronews.com/2014/10/shadow-of-beast-legacy-popular-remake.html#sthash.nRhhOGIz.dpuf
