Créé par hex-usr (et basé sur Higan), il s’agit d’un émulateur de NES/VS.System/PlayChoice-10/SuperNES/GameBoy/GameBoy Color/GameBoy Advance/WonderSwan/WonderSwan Color/SwanCrystal/GameGear/SMS/Megadrive/PC-Engine mais aussi des sous systèmes Super GameBoy, BS-X Satellaview et Sufami Turbo, mais ajoute un lots de fonctionnalités en suppléments comme davantage de mappers NES, le NES Four Score, le Zapper, le Power Pad, l’adaptateur 4 joueurs, le VS. System (uniquement les jeux UniSystem n’utilisant pas le Zapper), le PlayChoice-10 mais aussi d’autres éléments à découvrir.
L’auteur propose également un gestionnaire de paquet MSU1 nommé Mercurial-Magic ainsi qu’une application complémentaire nommée Launcher permettant de lancer des dossiers de cartouches avec des émulateurs non-higan.
Cette version, compilée par notre ami Lo, est basée sur Higan 104r8.

-Mega Drive: retain latch when changing controllers
Moved the latch bit out of each individual controller class and into the ControllerPort class.
The controller port has no pin for bit 7, so it is impossible for the latch bit to come from the controller directly. Therefore, the latch bit must be inside the console, causing it to be preserved if a different controller is connected.

– Mega Drive: mouse peripheral
Added support for the Mega Drive’s mouse.
North America got a different variant of the mouse than the other regions; the clickable trackball was replaced with a 3rd mouse button, and a 4th button is added to represent Start. nSide’s implementation here represents North America’s Mega Mouse, but it is compatible with the Sega Mouse released elsewhere (the middle mouse button is equivalent to the clickable trackball)

-Mega Drive: Lock-On
Added support for Lock-On cartridges to the Mega Drive emulator. When launching Sonic & Knuckles, the emulator will prompt for another cartridge. Cartridges Locked-On this way will pass $200000-$3fffff to the base cartridge, and writing to $a130f1 affects both cartridges simultaneously. When the base cartridge’s RAM enable flag is turned on, an internal UPMEM replaces $300000-$3fffff in order to patch Sonic The Hedgehog 2 into Knuckles in Sonic 2.
A file named « upmem.rom » needs to be put into the Sonic & Knuckles cartridge folder. If it is absent, the main program ROM will be chopped into 7/8th of its size and be unusable.
